Resumen

Se han revisado ocho pacientes con isquemia cerebelosa aguda que fueron intervenidos. Los hallazgos clínicos fueron cefalea, vómitos y disminución del nivel de conciencia. La cirugía practicada fue en 4 casos drenaje ventricular externo, en 1 caso derivación ventrículo-peritoneal, y en 3 casos craneotomía descompresiva suboccipital (uno de los cuales precisó posterior derivación ventrículo-peritoneal).

Se procedió a la aplicación de las técnicas quirúrgicas de mayor a menor complejidad en función de la evolución del cuadro clínico, siendo los resultados buenos en 6 casos, y regulares en 2 pacientes.

Summary

A revisión of eigth patients operated for acute cerebellar ischemia has been made. The clinical findings were headache, vomiting and a decreased level of consciousness. The type of surgery was drainage of the lateral ventricle in four cases, ventricular-peritoneal shunting in one case and descompressive sub-occipital craniotomy (one of these needed ventricular-peritoneal derivation) in three cases. We applied the surgical techniques from the major to less complexity as related to the evolution of the clinical pattern. The results were good in 6 cases and fair in 2.
