Con la experiencia acumulada de los últimos años hemos diseñado una nueva unidad de monitorización de la presión intracraneal, UNIPIC, que procesa dos señales, presión intracraneal y presión arterial. Proporciona un valor instantáneo de la PIC y un registro continuo en impresora de PIC y PA similar a los registros convencionales x-t; a demanda y de forma automática, en intervalos preseleccionados se obtienen las gráficas: evolución temporal/PIC, histograma de distribución de frecuencias de la PIC y curva de amplitud de pulso de la PIC, asimilable a la relación E/P, así como sus listados.
Se describen los primeros resultados y experiencias obtenidos tras su aplicación clínica y experimental.
From the experience gathered in recent years, we have designed a new unit for intracranial pressure monitoring, UNIPIC, wich processes two signals: intracranial pressure (ICP) and arterial pressure (AP). It provides the ICP instantaneously and the continuous recording and printout of the ICP and AP, similar to convencional x-t registers, on command or automatically, at preset intervals, the following graphs and printouts are obtained: temporal evolution of ICP, ICP frequency distribution histogram, and ICP pulse amplitude.
The initial results from its clinical and experimental applications are described.
