La presencia de hemorragia en los abscesos cerebrales es una observación rara. Se describe un paciente joven con un absceso profundo que debutó con una hemorragia intralesional lo que contribuyó a establecer un diagnóstico y tratamiento inicialmente erróneos. Se analizan las posibles causas de hemorragia en los abscesos cerebrales y los datos bibliográficos aparecidos al respecto.
The occurrence of hemorrhage in cerebral abscesses is uncommon. We are reporting the case of a young patient with a deep cerebral abscess which manifested by intralesional hemorrhage leading initialIy to an erroneous diagnosis and treatment. The possible causes of hemorrhage in cerebral abscess are analyzed and the literatures is reviewed.
