Resumen

Presentamos el caso de un paciente tratado quirúrgicamente de un aneurisma de novo localizado en el segmento distal de la arteria cerebral anterior izquierda, que había sangrado, dando lugar a un hematoma en un cavum septum pellucidum persistente. Se revisa la literatura reciente sobre la frecuencia, origen y características peculiares de estos aneurismas y se resalta la rareza de los hematomas confinados en un cavum del septum pellucidum.

Summary

We report the case of a patient who underwent a surgical operation of a ruptured «de novo» aneurysm located on the distal cerebral anterior artery originating a cavum septum pellucidum hematoma. We review the data found in the literature about the frequency, nature and characteristics of this kind of aneurysms and comment the rarity of the cavum septal hematomas.
