Presentamos dos casos de hemangioblastomas espinales de localización cervical y torácica, que fueron extirpados después de practicar una embolización previa de los tumores. Creemos que en estos casos debe de inten-tarse la embolización porque puede facilitar la cirugía y disminuir los déficits neurológicos causados por el sangrado.
We presen the cases of two patients with hemangioblastoma at the cervical and thoracic levels of the spinal cord that were extirpate after embolization. We believe that arterial embolization should be attempted patiens with this type of tumor because it facilitates surgery and decreases neurological deficit resulting from intraoperative bleeding.
