Se presenta el caso de un paciente de 25 años de edad, portador de un ganglioglioma cerebral temporal izquierdo. Se logró practicar una resección tumoral total, habiendo sobrevivido el paciente 5 años sin recidiva ni déficit neurológico hasta la actualidad.
Se analizan con detalle las características patológicas, neurorradiológicas y los criterios de tratamiento.
Esta entidad se encuentra definida por una localización específica y por unas características neoplásicas que la hacen tributaria de un tratamiento y seguimiento adecuados a cada caso.
The case of a 25-year-old-male with a left temporal cerebral ganglioglioma is reported. Five years after total resection, the patient is alive and does not show evidence of tumor recurrence or neurological deficit.
The pathological findings, C.T. scan and M.R. presentation are analyzed in detail. This pathological entity is defined by a especific anatomical location.
