El hemangioendotelioma epiteloide es un tumor de origen endotelial de malignidad intermedia entre el hemangioma y el angiosarcoma. Suele afectar principalmente a partes blandas aunque también se ha descrito en otras localizaciones como pulmón, hígado, ganglios linfáticos y hueso. Esta última localización es poco frecuente constituyendo menos del 1% de los tumores óseos y dentro del esqueleto, el cráneo constituye una localización excepcional.
Presentamos el caso de un varón joven con un hemangioendotelioma epiteliode óseo de localización frontoorbitaria.
Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma is an endothelial derived tumor with an intermediate malignant degree between hemangioma and angiosarcoma. It usually involves soft tissues although it has been described in other locations such as lung, liver, limph nodes and bone. Bone epithelioid hemangioendothelioma is very rare representing less than 1% of bone tumors. Skull involvement is exceptional.
We report a case of a young man with a skull epithelioid hemangioendothelioma involving orbit and frontal bone.
