Hematoma Epidural Hernia Discal Lumbar
Summary

Spontaneous spinal epidural hematoma is a pathological entity related with the activities of daily normal life. Risk factors such as traumatism, use of anticoagulant medication, or evidence of vascular malformation are excluded. It is probably quite more frequent than reported in the literature.

When the location of the hematoma is the dorsal or cervical area a paraplegia or tetraplegia wilI probably follow unless diagnosis is made and surgery quickly performed.

In the lumbosacral region it may have a clinical presentation similar to the extruded lumbar disc, as in the case that we are reporting.
