Se presentan los resultados obtenidos con la descompresión por aspiración retrógrada de la carótida interna cervical (“técnica de Dallas”) en cuatro casos consecutivos de aneurismas de gran tamaño de la arteria oftálmica. Se describe la técnica quirúrgica y se discuten las ventajas de la misma sobre otras posibles en la actualidad.
The results of the treatment of four consecutive cases of giant carotid-ophthalmic aneurysms managed with decompression by retrograde aspiration of the cervical carotid artery (“Dallas maneuver”) are presented. The surgical technique is described and the advantages of the technique discussed.
