Los melanocitomas meníngeos son tumores infrecuentes, que cuando asientan en la médula espinal y debido a su relación con la raíz nerviosa; pueden ser confundidos con un neurinoma. La RM puede ayudar a diferenciarlos de los neurinomas preoperatoriamente.
Se presenta el caso de una paciente portadora de un melanocitoma meníngeo cervical afectando la raíz C7, cuyo diagnóstico preoperatorio fue de neurinoma en reloj de arena
Meningeal melanocytomas are infrequent tumors that when located in the spinal cord and because of their close relationship to the nerve root can resemble a neurinoma. The MR1 can help to differentiate them from the neurinomas preoperatively.
The case of a female patient harboring a cervical meningeal melanocytoma involving the C7 nerve root, and diagnosed preoperatively as an hourglass neurinoma is presented
