Presentamos un caso de meningioma secretor de localización en el ala menor del esfenoides derecho. El meningioma secretor constituye una rara variante morfológica de meningioma y se caracteriza desde el punto de vista microscópico, por presentar numerosas inclusiones hialinas intracitoplásmicas, que se han denominado cuerpos de pseudopsamoma. Los datos de neuroimagen son compatibles con un meningioma, pero desde el punto de vista microscópico se plantea el diagnóstico diferencial con otros tumores primarios intracraneales o con procesos metastásicos.
A case of secretory meningioma localized at the inner part of the right sphenoidal wing is presented. The secretory meningioma is a rare morphological type of meningioma characterized microscopically by numerous intracytoplasmatic hyalin inclusions, called pseudopsamoma bodies. The neuroimaging studies are compatible with meningioma, but microscopically a differential diagnosis has to be made with other primary brain tumors and metastatic neoplasms.
