Meningiomas although generally benign tumors, can be associated with extensive peritumoral brain edema. In this paper we have analyzed the statistical relationship between peritumoral edema and several others factors in 29 cases of intracranial meningioma. The only stadistically positive correlation was found between the presence of perilesional edema and tumor size (p<0,05).
