The clinical data of two patients operated for ganglion of the peroneal nerve are presented. They first carne in with peroneal mononeuropathy in which a tumor around the nerve was palpable. This finding was further confirmed during surgery and a diagnosis of ganglion was established through biopsy. This kind of ganglions, unlike extraneural ganglions, are not commonly found. Sorne cornments are made on the surgical procedures recommended to avoid relapsing, which is often associated with high post-operative morbidity. The diagnostic value of ultrasonogram is also highlighted.
