El quiste sinovial raquídeo es una entidad patológica benigna de baja incidencia, cuya localización más frecuente es a nivel articular lumbar, sobre todo L4–L5.
La presentación clínica es variada, manifestándose más comúnmente con clínica radicular. El diagnóstico diferencial debe hacerse con varios procesos, principalmente con la hernia de disco, que es mucho más frecuente.
El desarrollo de las técnicas de neuroimagen ha permitido sospechar, cuando no diagnosticar, de forma preoperatoria dicha entidad.
Describimos dos casos de quiste sinovial lumbar localizados a nivel L4–L5.
Synovial cyst of the spine which most commonly occurs at L4–L5 level, is a relatively rare benign pathological entity.
Clinical presentation of synovial cyst is diverse but most commonly consists of radicular symptons. Differencial diagnosis ineludes various pathologies, the most frequent being intervertebral disc herniation.
The advent of computerized tomographic and magnetic resonance has made possible to establish the preoperative diagnosis.
We are presenting two cases of lumbar spinal extradural cyst localizated at L4–L5 interespace.
