Abstract

Surgical treatment of hydrocephalus has already been well established with ventriculoperitoneal shunts, but we are still looking for a more physiologic valve. We report our experience in 78 children treated with a variable resistence valve (Orbis Sigma) shunt system that avoids the complications produced by differential pressure valves.
