Resumen

Describimos dos casos de reconstrucción primaria de grandes defectos de cuero cabelludo y de calota craneal después de una exéresis completa de una tumoración, mediante rotación de colgajos libres e injertos de piel. En ambos pacientes el crecimiento excesivo de la tumoración fue el resultado de un abandono relativo del paciente o de sus familiares o tratamientos previos inadecuados. Estos pacientes han tenido una evolución satisfactoria haciendo vida normal y libres de recidiva tumoral.

Summary

Two cases of successful reconstruction of large scalp and skull defects following tumor ablation with free flap transfer and skin grafting as a primary procedure are described. In both patients there was either sorne delay in treatment or inadecuate previous management. At the follow-up both patients enjoy good quality of life and are free of recurrence.
