Se presenta un caso de condrosarcoma cervical en paciente diagnosticado de osteocondromatosis múltiple no hereditaria que fue intervenido en dos ocasiones. Esta localización es excepcional ya que se trata de un tumor que afecta fundamentalmente a huesos planos de cinturón escapular y pelviano, huesos largos y costillas. En los pocos casos en los que este tumor se localiza en la columna vertebral existe un claro predominio por la región torácica. Se comentan los datos clínicos y radiológicos, se revisa la literatura y se analizan los factores pronósticos así como el enfoque terapéutico en estos pacientes.
The case of a patient with cervical chondrosarcoma in the context of a non hereditary osteochondromatosis who underwent surgery on two ocassions is presented.
Chondrosarcomas usually arise in flat bones of the pelvis, omoplate, long bones and ribs. In the few cases in which this tumor arise in the spine it involves the thoracic region. Thus, the cervical location is extremely uncommon.
The clinic, radiologic and operative findings are described and the literature is reviewed.
