El hematoma subdural espinal crónico o subagudo es una entidad infrecuente en la práctica neuroquirúrgica. Su asociación a un hematoma subdural intracraneal se ha reportado sólo en 2 ocasiones. Presentamos un nuevo caso en una paciente anciana en tratamiento anticoagulante y con antecedente de traumatismo menor. Realizamos una breve revisión de los hematomas subdurales espinales subagudos y crónicos publicados hasta ahora en la literatura. Se discute también la imagen RMN y su fisiopatología.
Chronic or subacute spontaneous subdural spinal hematomas are not frequentIy seen in neurosurgical practice. The occurrence of a combined subdural spinal and intracranial hematoma have only been reported in 2 cases. We describe a new case in an elderly wornan who was treated with anticoagulant therapy. She had a possible history of a minor trauma. We review the literature concerning spinal subdural hematomas. MR imaging and pathogenic mechanism are discussed.
