La resonancia magnética nuclear ha puesto de manifiesto la frecuencia de la asociación distematomielia/hidromielia, que aparece hasta en un 25% de los casos. Desde el punto de vista clínico ambas entidades pueden presentarse con escoliosis, déficit motor y sensitivo y deformidades de las extremidades inferiores. Presentamos un caso de disrafismo espinal oculto con diastematomielia, médula espinal anclada, hidromielia y lipoma espinal lumbosacro y se discute su tratamiento.
