Iliacus hematoma isan uncommon cause of femoral neuropathy, and it has been usually described in patients with coagulopathies. It was described for the first time in an haemophilíc patient; since then, its frequency has increased because of the widespread use of anticoagulant therapy. The importance of this complication is not only due to the severe neurogical damage but also to the size of the haemorrhage, which can cause haemodinamics disturbances. It's important to aware this complication in order to make a differential diagnosis with lumbar radiculopathies of vertebral origino Early diagnosis and immediate treatment are essential to achieve a good neurological recovery and a quick correction of the haematological and hemodinamics disturbances caused by the hematoma
