Los quistes aracnoideos espinales, tanto intradurales como extradurales, son una patología poco común que pueden cursar con afectación radicular o medular.
Presentamos una paciente con un quiste aracnoideo dorso-lumbar, con sintomatología clínica y hallazgos radiológicos superponibles a los dos de un neurinoma. La enferma obtuvo un alivio inmediato del dolor que presentaba tras la cirugía.
Revisamos los conceptos expuestos en la bibliografía sobre la clasificación, etiopatogenia y tratamiento de estas lesiones.
The spinal intradural/extradural arachnoid cysts are an uncommon pathology that may cause myelopathy or radiculopathy.
We are reporting the case of a patient with an arachnoid thoraco-lumbar extradural cyst mimicking clinically and radiologically a neurinoma. The patient obtained an immediate relief of the preoperative pain after surgery.
We review the classification, etiology and surgical treatment of these lesions in the neurosurgical literature.
